@RobeOfTheMagi I used to have one but sold it on. It was a cool watch. I replaced the hardlex with sapphire. The bezel could have been a little nicer imo, the ratcheting strap was functionally nice but it's still in need of an update, and it was always a little top heavy and unbalanced on any strap. The monoblock was cool but made servicing a little less easy.

I wasn't expecting to hear that given how stiff and crunchy the organic one still feels to me even after washing and drying it a couple if times. Guessing this is the 19L of chambray then

how different or not is this chambray fabric compared to the organic chambray's from a couple seasons back?

the fabric almost looks like the 18oz vintage to me

it's a bit commercialized i guess these days, but i always enjoyed getting a beer and sitting outside at ballast point there in long beach.

also sad that beachwood bbq in seal beach closed a long time ago. was a favorite on business trips for all the crazy beers they had on tap.

@ssherman95 id say 16, 18, and 21oz, generally in that order, are all better and more breathable than the 14oz which is pretty tightly woven and hard faced. I recall the 14IB in particular being pretty hot when new. ymmv.

If you can wear 666's the same tag size will work. If you wear 634's size for the thigh.

this has been my experience as well, but also trust the measurements in case this batch is any different.

Have you tried spraying the pits with vodka? Otherwise, oxyclean, run it through a sanitizing cycle in the washer, or boil it in a pot?

@bluemantra I've got a pair of Nick's I've had since 2015 but I wouldn't say they've been worn hard by any means.

Here they are brand new, a couple years ago after a conditioning, and today. Dunno if it's just this run of natural cxl but mine haven't aged a bunch compared to some other nat cxl boots I've seen.

Concur with the hype around the slub no7 shirt. Love the fabric and how soft it feels on top of the texture. For anyone whose had a slub warehouse shirt the texture is similar but a little more pronounced on this one. Fabric weight feels a little less than the 11oz IH shirts. The cut on them is fantastic for me too, maybe mid way between an 11 and 7.5 oz shitomachi? The fabric is also dimensionally very stable wearing and after machine washing and drying. The only minor complaint is that it has side seams but it's worth it for everything else imo.

havent tried it with denim, but have had luck with oxyclean getting out stubborn scents from other things like a t-shirt that was washed along side kitchen rags with a bit of cooking oil

I'm a yes, no, no. Mine fit better if I cinch the strap one position further from the neutral position. Heel slip is a good thing but I like a snug fit over the top of my foot

Assuming you mean hanging out on your front porch, stairs, stoop, etc?

Have a pair of 16oz slubs but never held 16oz slubby od but the 21OD is super nice and almost velvety right from the start. Personally I'd go for the 21 over the 16 unless you really want a pair of black od jeans to wear when it gets hotter since they breathe a bit better than the 21s. Also feel like the 21 fabric is overall a bit more durable than the 16 if you plan on working or crawling around in them.

@SourPower used to fish there a good bit too; know the water reasonably well. Looks like a nice sunny day to be outside.

@SourPower where do you like to fish? Those boulders remind me a bit of fishing around deckers and in the canyon.

a couple more to share. I guess it shows that I'm pertty tired of winter. And I wish I could take credit for the timing on the shot with the pigeon landing, but it was coming in totally obscured by the camera & lens when I released the shutter, but I'll take it.
