RE: The Works Address and How to Get There
I made it to the shop yesterday. Using Google maps makes the journey painless, except for the fact that it takes almost an hour and a half to get there from west Tokyo.
Here you can see the location of the bus stop at Hachioji station.
And you can follow along as the bus drives.
I can confirm that they don’t do tax free.
A few pics.

A few photos of not so great quality from last night.

I actually preferred when the crew were used as models in the lookbook. These professional models remind me of the guys I see in every clothing advertisement on social media.

I picked up the IHSI-01 silver wallet chain while in Japan and have been wearing it for about a month now. It’s left a greenish mark where it rubs against my jeans. A quick Google search reveals it’s the copper in sterling silver which causes green stains and this can also happen to your skin.
Are there any long time silver wallet chain users out there? If so, I’d be interested in seeing some pics.
Here are my PBJs with the green stain under the left pocket.
I didn’t get any replies to this post, except for an attempt at juvenile humor by Giles, of course
After about 5 months of constant wear, here is the stain caused by the IH wallet chain as well as a pic of the other leg. I still haven’t been able to find any mention of this on the internet and would be interested if others have had this experience as well.

I’ll stick with IHUK from now on. Just got a belt from IHG and while it’s a lovely belt I ended up paying for delivery, duties, taxes and obviously exchange rates. A 189 euro belt cost me over 500 Canadian dollars. Good thing I like the belt, but I’m sticking with IHUK.
IH has a policy that sets a minimum price, so you should be paying the same price regardless of which retailer you buy from and which currency they use. Most credit cards charge a 1% currency conversion fee, which is pretty much nothing.
IH UK offers free shipping on orders over $200 and IH Germany offers free shipping on orders over 200 Euros, so that's almost the same as well.
IH UK only covers import duties and taxes for shipments to the EU. Does the UK-Canada trade agreement cover clothing? Otherwise, from the point of view of the Canadians customs, it shouldn't matter if your product originated in the UK or EU.
Perhaps you just got unlucky with this shipment?

RE: Random conversations
@T4920 I used to collect witty replies to be used in such situations. For example, "why do you care so much about my clothes when you obviously don't care about your own".

@Heavy_blue thanks for the info. It seems like the shrinkage is comparable to a UHF.

On a related note, I dislike guns but did enjoy reading the Guns and Ammo thread. I'm assuming it was removed for the same reason.

RE: IHSH-389-IND - 12oz Dobby Cloth CPO Shirt - Indigo
@Matt The shoulders, sleeves, and chest look great.
The hem looks a bit tight on your right side and the left side looks short. I find it really strange that one side is shorter than the other. Have you measured the length from the armpit to the hem on both sides to compare?
Can you cross your arms and touch the opposite shoulder? Can you touch your toes? These are the two tests I use to determine if a shirt is too small.

@seawolf thank you. we have an IH shop here in Hamburg, Germany. I can cofirm the customer service is well. They´ve called me after an Email with some question in it. It was a bit surprising, because I was wondering where did they get my number from ?! At the end they tried to persuade me to buy a pair of jeans about 329€.
So you have your own story with IH. Like most of you. Maybe it´s just a point of view which clothes Made in Japan are the best. I own a "The Flat Head Single Rider Jacket". It´s also high end quality!
As far as I can read most of you are from North America. And I think IH is perfect for most of you. Because it fits in the Heritage clothes wich is originally from America. It´s just a new interpretation and Made in Japan which gives the good old vintage look a new style.Did you create an account with IH Germany and enter your phone number? If so, that's how they got it.

Iron Heart fits me well. It's the same reason I like PBJ jeans.
If Sugar Cane didn't have short arms, if Real McCoy wasn't so baggy, and so on, I would buy those other brands as well.

RE: Where do we report issues with the new forum?
The blue bar is floating in the middle of the page when scrolling.
Safari on iPhone 15 pro. I didn’t see this problem yesterday.
