Brilliant!!

I have an XL Sky Valley also and is a beauty for sure! However I can't wear it with anything thicker than an IHTL-1501 or similar otherwise the forearms get too tight. Looks great with a tee though, especially in LA.

Iron Heart's classic N1 Deck Jacket has always existed in a class of its own with its all-through alpaca lining (including the hand warmer pockets), whipcord cotton outer and storm cuffs. We did not think it possible to improve on this until they delighted us all with the new indigo dyed version. A beautifully even tone to start, this will age with some definite élan.
In addition, the Khaki N1's were recently restocked.
We also see the return of the Heavy Moleskin CPO in the remarkably smooth and super sturdy cotton Moleskin. All the expected detailing and hardware are present including hand warmer pockets and oversized logo’ed copper snap fasteners. A rich, deep navy colourway makes this year’s iteration an absolutely spot on layering piece.
Iron Heart's final Ultra Heavy Flannel release for 2019 comes in a stunning blue tartan check. 12 oz of double brushed Aspero cotton goodness and a perfect fit.

Nice photos of the N1. Starts off lighter than the navy one?

The Fleurs de Bagne "Commando" pullover combines the old - WW2 Commando exploits, the new - Schoeller technical virgin wool, the East - Sashiko patches at shoulder and collar and the West - French design and style.
The indigo sashiko is woven by Kuroki Mills in Japan, and provides hard-wearing protection at the shoulder and elbows. The Schoeller wool is exceptionally tightly-knit by Guedel in Brittany, and is both highly wind and cold-resistant. Indigo-dyed, you can just imagine how good this sweater will look down the line. The perfect piece to layer under one of our jackets to keep you toasty through winter.
The "Knit Flows Like Water" sweaters are 100% wool and 200% miraculous. By some strange magic known only to the Japanese artisans at Nine Lives these sweaters can both expand and contract to a remarkable degree, such that they come in only in a Medium and Large relaxed fit but never look stretched, tight or baggy. The heavy gauge wool is super soft with zero level of scratchiness.
With a longer, biker-inspired hem on both the body and sleeves and ribbed texture, the sweaters come in Navy and Sand.https://www.rivetandhide.com/shop/brands/ninelives.html?categories=266
Back in is the Kalamazoo, a beautiful piece that functions as both shirt and jacket. The heavyweight sashiko fabric requires very specific tension settings on the loom and different amounts of thread on each bobbin to create just the right amount of non-uniformity and texture before submitting to a traditional green-cast aizome dyeing process.

New arrivals from Momotaro include shirts and a canvas Type II jacket.
First, is the 05-251 Block Check Shirt using a rich deep red and black check fabric with a contrasting white stitch for a sashiko look. The breast pockets provide a visual accent by using the same material placed on a diagonal bias, and the seams are triple-stitched. The overall silhouette is slim.
https://www.rivetandhide.com/shop/brands/momotaro-jeans/momotaro-05-251-block-check-shirt-red.html
The 05-242 Corduroy Shirt is a rich indigo with a small random dot-like pattern. The moderately thick fabric is immediately comfortable on the skin. The cutaway collar has an opening that is almost horizontal, and when the top button is undone the line draws a gentle and beautiful curve. The brown buttons, made from corozo nut, provide a further visual accent.

The 03-125 Type II Jacket uses a plain weave, high density canvas in beige. With staples such as placket action pleats, box stitching and waist adjuster buttons, it carries Momotaro’s distinctive “Battle Stripes” on the left upper arm. The metal buttons, discreetly decorated with the peach emblem, add a final flourish. Interior storage pockets and hand-warmer pockets make this a very practical jacket to wear.

Anyone who owns one or more of Iron Heart’s Ultra Heavy Flannels will be familiar with the unique qualities of Aspero cotton which grows in the wild in Peru. This thick, tough and super soft cotton now provides the slubby yarns for the UES Denim Puca Purcara sweatshirts. They are woven at low tension on the Tsuri-ami hanging loopwheeler machines at Wakayama, Japan. They are insulating, windproof and their voluminous nature has an almost wool like texture. Available in grey or navy.

https://www.rivetandhide.com/shop/brands/ues/ues-puca-purcara-loopwheeled-sweatshirt-navy.html
The UES Extra Heavy Indigo Flannel really lives up to its name, pushing the limits of what can be achieved with a selvedge fabric and beautifully demonstrates the capabilities of a classic schoenherr loom. The outer face is super textured with a clear ‘nep’ background which pushes the rich, deep indigo to the fore. Intense brushing to the inside gives the feel of a heavy fleece delivering a softness of hand along with the warmth and heft more reminiscent of a sweatshirt. Brushing an indigo dyed fabric in this manner also introduces a lighter indigo tone to the inner garment. Style, comfort, insulation and superior construction.

A simple, but elegant indigo sweatshirt from UES in a 100% cotton waffle knit. The white thread in the material gives a subtle sun-bleached feel to the piece such that it feels smart yet worn in at the same time.

Fine Creek Leathers, best known for their horsehide jackets have produced a sheepskin piece of unparalleled quality limited to 30 pieces.
Sourced from the Himeji tannery, the leather of 1.5mm thickness is weightier than the norm. The sheepskin has gone through a process of full vegetable tanning completed with water-based dye. Non-finished, it will get darker and shinier as it ages.
The jacket is so soft and smooth to the touch that it is easy enough to wear all day, every day.
Inspired by vintage denim trucker jackets, this piece could only come from the imagination of Mister Freedom.
Made from 16 oz. “Midnight” denim, with a dark indigo warp x black weft and a solid white selvedge ID, milled in Japan, the jacket features an early round-type collar, A-1 style and a vintage boxy but trim silhouette. Details abound such as arrowhead dart stitching, branded brass hardware & tea core leather patch. The collar and pocket are lined with 10.5 oz. crosshatch denim. This impressive re-invention of a classic design has been carried out with respect and passion. It perfectly exemplifies the timeless Mister Freedom spirit of adventure.
Cut from the same (figurative) cloth and designed with furthering the boundaries of heritage wear in mind, the Lot 54bb jeans use New Old Stock Cone Mills 13 oz. indigo denim. They offer a high rise, full leg and cinch back reminiscent of a vintage ‘40s-‘50s fit and are set apart by the subtle accents to stitch colour and styling details. Twelve types of cotton thread, rust red pocket bags and hidden laundry name tags come together to create a thoroughly unique, all original nod to the classics.
While not specifically designed as an ensemble, these two pieces from Rogue Territory go really well together.
The Patrol shirt uses a navy heavyweight wool blend from Japan. The shirt can easily do duty as a lightweight jacket. Features include large black canvas elbow patches, a curved hem and collar lined with black canvas, twin hand-warmer canvas pockets, two large chest pockets and horn buttons.
Complementing it are the Infantry Pants. These use a 10 oz 2x1 100% cotton Japanese heather grey denim and feature a relatively high front and back rise, with room in the crotch and upper thigh.
Individually or together, these two pieces epitomise the clean, urban yet classic look which Rogue Territory does so well.

With a heritage dating back 60 years, the craftspeople behind Handson Grip have been quietly and consistently producing top quality gloves with pride in the Kagawa prefecture. Kagawa is to gloves what Wakayama is to loopwheeled sweaters - the area of traditional glove making in Japan.
"To experience life through touch" their ethos has always been to use their wealth of knowledge to combine exceptional materials, from Kobe leather to Polartec fleece, with smart design. The range encompasses solutions for a multitude of situations and requirements from smart, around town to serious winter wear.
https://www.rivetandhide.com/shop/brands/handson-grip.html
The Fam+ is the perfect around town glove. The outer is a strong yet super supple 100% Kobe leather while the inner is a Polartec fleece providing warmth and comfort. Seriously stylish and available in black or tan.
The 'Traverse' is the ultimate cold weather performance glove. Constructed using a PolarTec Neo Shell and Primaloft insulator all beautifully held together with Kobe leather. PrimaLoft offers moisture control, warmth without bulk and has superior softness & durability thanks to its natural content. The insulation offers the highest level of warmth, while the technical fabrics allow for water resistance while also including breatheability, quick drying and the highest levels of comfort.
The Traverse also has a **mitt **design for ultimate warmth and heat retention using the same make up and construction as the glove. A real cold weather classic.
Beautifully simple and beautifully versatile, the Hobo can be paired up as liner with a winter or performance glove or used as a standalone. Made from Merino wool and therefore offering all the benefits associated with this wonderous natural material - lightweight, warm and breathable.
Merino wool does not absorb odours, is naturally anti bacterial and anti fungal not to mention incredibly comfortable to wear. Roll them up in your pocket and forget about them until needed. The thumb and forefinger both have touchscreen friendly tips and there is an extended cuff for complete wrist coverage.

The latest sweats from Pure Blue Japan will be an instant winner from this Okayama based brand with a luxurious fleece fabric woven in the Japanese capital of sweatshirt manufacturing - Wakayama. Impeccable styling with raglan sleeves and curved, ribbed cuffs, and 2-way zip pulls, these have been rope-dyed in indigo to create a glorious hue. Available as a hoodie or sharp, athletic styled rib collar sweat.
The Sashiko cinch back pants build on the success of the previous jean and chino iterations by offering a classic cinch back, slim straight design to the range. Indigo warp and weft come together to create this heavy duty 16 oz. sashiko weave. A heritage technique, classic cut, and thoroughly modern imagining.
PBJ’s Military fatigues provide an ideal smart casual alternative. The whipcord cotton guarantees you a level of weather protection while the sulphur dye delivers a unique yet subtle patina right off the bat. Flap back rear pockets and patch front pockets are hints to the inspiration behind the design.
Supima cotton's super long fibres are the basis of the new long sleeved striped Border T’s. Irregular yarns, enhanced by the 12% hemp element, provide a slubby texture to these soft and sturdy wardrobe classics. Each has indigo dyed stripes perfectly set off by either navy, red or green.
Providing a final piece of rope-dyed indigo goodness is the Slub Jersey Indigo Long Sleeve T-shirt. Ideal as either a base layer or standalone piece.

A Masterpiece of design and inclement weather functionality. The Snow Parka from Fleurs de Bagne is a showcase of European collaboration featuring a 490gr waxed cotton outer shell from Scotland's Halley Stevenson, thick cotton liner by England’s Millerain and all expertly put together in France.
With a real rugged style this is a serious, heavy duty piece. Every aspect has been carefully considered. A fully lined, high-collar hood with rain peak. Two Lined, double layer waxed fold-over pockets. One large, quick access outer ‘map’ style stud pocket to the chest. Drawstring hood, waist and hem. Button cinch cuffs and a unique, double placket/single button fastening. Magnifique!
Stevenson Overall's winter release brings us new cuts and new materials all imbued with that unmistakable SOC styling that is so admired. The Aggressor takes a classic field jacket and adds in a sprinkle of 'rider' to create a thoroughly versatile finished product.
Pigment dyed with a rich khaki, it uses 5% polyeurethane in the serge weave enabling the jacket to gently stretch and shape with wear. Four snap pockets to the front including hand-warmer pockets behind the lower while at the rear is a large double compartment pocket the width of the back.
The myriad benefits of Merino wool are well known – odour resistant, moisture wicking, insulating and temperature regulating to name a few. It is also renowned for the level of softness and comfort provided. You will not find a better illustration of this than with the Stevenson Overall Merino thermal sweaters.
The ‘hand’ of the garment is unbelievable with a cushy, downy experience like no other. No sacrifice in style with raglan sleeves and a contrast weave to the neck, cuffs and hem. Available in ivory or navy. Stunning in feel, form and function.
The new Stevenson Overall chinos deliver a relaxed tapered fit which include great design accents such as waist cinches, knee dart articulation and rolled seam stitching. The new 10 oz twill Colts are a perfect addition to the SOC chino armoury. Available in light beige and a subtly faded navy.

Pure Blue Japan impress yet again with the new and aptly named Snow Denim. Taking nep to the nth degree this fabric requires no evolution or wear before revealing its depth of character - it is clearly there from the start. The substantial 16 oz denim is given its unique texture from the irregular weave, rich indigo warp and tufts of unbleached weft breaking through all over. Denim, reimagined.
It comes in the SN-013 slim tapered fit.
We also have a welcome restock of the xx011 – possibly our most popular Pure Blue Japan iteration. Slim tapered, slightly lighter 13.5 oz left hand twill with a grey tinted weft, all but guaranteed to fade hard and fast.
https://www.rivetandhide.com/shop/brands/pure-blue-japan/pure-blue-japan-x011-jean.html
Following a super fast sell through last year and back for a second season are the 14 oz deep indigo xx-019-WID. Deep indigo rope-dyed warp and weft in the versatile Relaxed Tapered cut. These work well as an occasional dressy pair of jeans. Wear them daily and you'll see some strikingly high contrast fades emerge.

As anyone who has visited our London store will attest, there is a piece of art which has become synonymous with Rivet & Hide as a retail space. This is the first Wes Lang x Indigofera collaboration blanket from 2013 and there is now one hanging at our Manchester store. It is much admired, always a subject of discussion, and regular offers to purchase are politely refused.
After gaining worldwide recognition working with Kanye West and creating the now iconic imagery for ‘Yeezus’, Wes left his LA Warehouse studio earlier this year for a rare public exhibition at Copenhagen’s V1 gallery. Included in this series is "Nobody" - the new collaboration blanket with Indigofera.
By turns bleak and bold, dark and thoughtful, intense and abstract, ‘Nobody’ is a double-sided showcase and privileged entry into the mind and thought processes of this talented artist.
Contemplating his early days which influenced this work, in his own words: “A couple guys I knew, their older brothers, who were in high school, were like—this was the '80s, so they'd have some shitty '80s tattoo flash, a Reaper or a rose or whatever and I just thought it was the coolest fucking thing of all time”.
He has now applied this imagery to a more mature theme, yet still somewhat confused and chaotic, which is true Wes Lang.

The new Cody shirt from Stevenson Overall is made from a lustrous, fine-wale corduroy in a rich mid-brown that shimmers from dark to light and back again as the light catches it. Hardwearing yet stylish, this cord is double-woven, making it thick and dense, yet soft. The merest touch of magic in the fabric allows a subtle stretch for a slim-fitting silhouette.
A signature piece that stays true to its western heritage, Cody has a front yoke formed like the horns of a buffalo, while the back yoke evokes the wings of a bird. The cuffs describe a graceful curve and the sleeve plackets, like the two-button chest pockets, are arch-shaped. Matching Belnap Stone Snap Buttons complete the details.
We are always knocked out by Stevenson’s fabrics and attention to detail. This piece is already a firm favourite with us.
3sixteen have re-released an absolute classic in the shape of the Type III Trucker Jacket. Keeping all the style of the original with the signature crosscut rear yoke, the new ‘DJ’ iteration features an updated cut allowing slightly more room and length through the sleeve and a little extra space across the chest.
The extra body length remains to accommodate the hand-warmer side pockets which are lined with a soft corduroy as are the cuffs. Two phone sized pockets are included to the inner. Kuroki loomed denim available in the Double Black for a sharp styling or the indigo warp/black weft Shadow Selvedge combo for some beautiful fading.

Mossir is the technical arm of Fine Creek Leathers. The result of a brand already at the top of its game with speciality leathers looking for new challenges and new materials to push the envelope. Mossir fuses cutting edge fabrics with classic styling to create pieces that perform every bit as well as they appear to the eye. This is form with function and perfectly executed.
"Leonard" illustrates what Mossir is all about. Combining classic style - the M51 “Mod” parka - with technical fabrics, superlative design and unparalleled construction.
The parka can be worn in at least four ways. First, as lightweight rainwear. The 2.5-layer shell, made of a soft four-way stretch fabric, repels water and is highly breathable so you won’t feel clammy when it’s raining hard or when exerting yourself. It has a water pressure resistance of 10,000mm and a moisture permeability of 10,000g. Being made of a comparatively lightweight fabric, this parka can be worn right through the year in most temperate climates. The Leonard is sized reasonably, so you can wear it over the top of a jacket or just over a shirt, allowing for a wide range of coordination.
Second, when temperatures drop, you can wear Leonard with its detachable form-fitting liner. Made from highly technical Polartec Thermal Pro on one side and a quilted fabric with excellent quick-drying properties on the other, this light and warm fleece liner adds versatility to the piece and increases its temperature range signficantly.
Third, the liner itself is reversible, further extending the versatility of the piece. Switch the direction of the lining—Polartec on the inside for maximum warmth, then switch it to the outside if you need things a little cooler.
Finally, you can wear the inner as a jacket in its own right, again switching between Thermal Pro and quilting as conditions dictate.

We introduced Fine Creek Leathers in the spring of this year and the excitement among our customers who love classic leather jackets made with the best Japanese horsehide was palpable.
For the winter season only, we are offering the Leon jacket in its more minimalist custom format without belts and epaulettes. The phenomenal 2mm horsehide is tanned with Fine Creek's own recipe at the Himeji tannery. These teacore jackets age and wear with a stunning patina, the brown of the hide filtering through the black, a process heightened by the different sewing thread tensions that encourage puckering in the arm creases. They are made completely in house at the FCL Tokyo workshop and as such are limited in numbers.
Well worn 2mm Leon jacket worn by Yoshi, owner and designer of FCL.

The Derby Boot in Gaucho Calf Suede by Viberg uses a beautiful leather from England's CF Stead tannery. The style is based on the British hunting boot and is slightly taller than the service boot with speed lacing on the upper four eyelets. This make up comes on the 2030 last and uses a 360 storm welt construction.
Viberg has sourced the Dainite sole in tonal tan enhancing the boots' elegance. There are two ways to go with these — wear them for best and keep the dressy finish, or beat the hell out of them and see how the suede darkens and ages as it tells your story to the world.

Viberg's Service Boot in Japanese Natural Cowhide is built on the 1035 last, features full stitch down construction, a tan Dainite sole and a brogue toe cap. The leather comes from the Tochigi tannery in Japan and promises to develop a great patina and darken with wear. A real classic.

Fans of Iron Heart’s 888 relaxed taper jeans in 14oz denim will be glad to know that this classic now also comes in black. The warp is black sulphur rope-dyed; the weft is black sulphur dipped. Constructed with black tonal stitching, the denim will slowly fade to grey.
As usual for Iron Heart, the denim comes sanforized and one-washed so there will be no further shrinkage. The same IH-888S-142 relaxed fit 14 oz jeans in indigo are also now back in stock.
