I’m just going to pop to the fridge for a ‘thinking beer’.

The second one did the job.
Money selflessly spent.

EDIT
Arrived and tried them on. The 34s are definitely snug but wearable and trimmer through the leg (what I was aiming for), just need to lose some of the COVID-19lbs I've put on. Definitely not tucking in anything beyond a thin t-shirt in these.
I could have gone up to the 36 but that 2in jump may have been too far in the opposite direction and changed both the fit and overall look. A 35 would have been perfect but c'est la vie.

Thanks for the initial

I went with a 34 waist which has a little room and that suits me fine. At present they are stock length and I'll cuff them for now. I am absolutely blown away by the quality, fit, weight, build, cut etc of the IHDR-502's. These are an absolute winner imo and must be made in other colours. 10/10 to Iron Heart

@den1mhead finally succumbed to these almost missing the boat I have to add.. and yes there was mild panic and a little agitated pacing in the house!
I was Sceptical at first and he does also have a couple of pairs from other brands, however I have to admit that I have never seen or felt a better example!
They are a wonderful build, being heavy and strong without being restrictive in any way. Perfect for workwear but also just perfect for any other wear!
You may now have gleaned that I’ve tried them on and you would, of course be right. Well, wow! I am thinking of you girls too @sabergirl and @RoxRocks86 , as they are also a peachy fit.
Oh and did I mention how the colour changes with the light, from olive green to a kind of khaki brown.. was this just luck or intentional? Yes I’m besotted! XSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Size Chart differs between Iron Heart and Division Road . Am in between a 34 and 36

Those look great @den1mhead and @Black Orchid. I can’t wait to try mine on Monday.

Iron Heart measurements are done in house, using the same method they always use. Division Rd likewise. Different methods, different results. You’ve bought jeans from IHUK before, no? Go with theirs.

You will love them I have no doubt about that Ann. Be sure to post a couple of fit pics if you have time. The pants are off the hook, amazing, incredible, perfect, tough . . . . . . .

Looking good! How do you feel about the sizing up - comfortable or too roomy?
If only there wasn't so much daylight between the 34 and 36 measurements! Anybody sizing up from 32 to 33 or 36 to 38 get space in the waist but give up very little in the other measurements.
-
@manticore - not too roomy at all. I would not have been able to squeeze my
Legs into a 36. The double knee plus cargo pockets mean the top of the thigh has over 30oz of fabric. I did request the smallest
Waist which measures
Smack dab on 38” - two inches smaller
And it would not have buttoned very easily. In general though, the 888 is hard for me to size down in, even my TTS 888-142od are pretty snug where the waist band hits me -
Even more so than my 777-142I am very happy with the way these cargoes fit, and I think the cut will be very versatile for people Wanting to go either slimmer or more relaxed than my fit

Very happy these worked out excellently for you!
The 34 in these came in at 34.6 vs 34.4 average. Definitely feel the layered thickness over the thighs.
-
Excellent! It’s great that these give so many people the fit they want!

I’ve no bloody idea how these are going to fit. I’ve trimmed up a bit through our Covid adventure, but I’ve lost both fat and muscle and I think the higher rise waist is exactly where I’ve slimmed most. My recycled 888s did need a stretch though and I’ve gone the same 33 as those, so I think I’ve ordered what I need.
Having bought a size down on @den1mhead makes me ??? as I’m 6’3 and an XXL in everything on top.
We. Shall. See.
I’m still furloughed so the bank holiday does nothing for me, but delay the goodies. Ah, 2020…

@Black Orchid Wanted a pair upon first seeing them & your review of these pants makes me want them even more now Unfortunately, (fortunate for my piggy bank) waist measurements don’t come down enough for me to pull the trigger
