Our slim-straight "Devil's fit" jeans, made from 18oz vintage selvedge denim. Reminiscent of denim from the early to mid-1900s, this fabric is woven for us at the renowned Shinya Mill, celebrated for its authentic vintage-style denim.

Woven under relatively low tension, our 18oz selvedge is looser and softer than some of our more modern weaves, resulting in a pair of very breathable heavyweight jeans that require minimal break-in time. Due to the slightly more irregular weave, you can expect character-filled vertical fading that emphasises the textured nature of the denim.

18oz Japanese Vintage Selvedge Denim

- 100% cotton
- Indigo rope-dyed warp / white weft

- Right-hand twill weave
- This vintage-style denim will fade naturally through wear and washing

Hardware & Construction

- Traditional 3-button fly
- Iron Heart branded tack button at waistband

- Works Inc branded pocket rivets

- Hidden rivets on rear pockets
- Poly/cotton stitching for increased strength

- Single and double needle chain stitch construction
- Belt loops anchored at three points and sewn into the waistband

- Heavy cotton pocket bags and lined rear pockets

Selvedge ID

- Sideseam, fly, and coin pocket selvedge ID

Leather Patch

- 1.5mm vegetable-tanned steerhide
- Natural finish
- Stitched on all sides
- Debossed Iron Heart graphic
- Please note: Continued washing (especially at higher temperatures) may cause shrinkage and deformities

Fabric Focus

Sanforized & One-Washed

- Sanforization is a post-weave mechanical process which removes most potential shrinkage from a fabric before garment construction
- To further reduce the risk of shrinkage, we wash the completed garment in an aggressive industrial washing machine. This process removes virtually all potential shrinkage.
- No further shrinkage is expected when washed according to our care guidelines

Stretch Details

- The waist will stretch out approximately 1" with wear. All other dimensions that are put under pressure will stretch proportionally to the waist


Care Guidelines

- We recommend washing this garment at 30°C with a low (or no) spin cycle. Hang dry, do not tumble dry
