HWDC Event 1 - Gosport Chain Stitch Massacre

Gosport Chain Stitch Massacre - Good News/ Bad News
The "Gosport Chain Stitch Massacre" will be our first official HWDC2 Event, it will be held at the headquarters of Iron Heart International in Gosport England, and will be a chance for anyone who can make it to meet, drink beer with and hang out with Giles and Paula of Iron Heart, Beatle and me from the HWDC2, and any other competitors who make it to see us.
Good news - the event will be held on the weekend of the 30th and 31st of March, it will be a 2 day event as it is the Easter Bank holiday in the UK. Beer will be provided, as well as soft drinks, and maybe some crisps, ha ha. You will get to see Giles masterfully craft perfect hems with his trusty machine "Unity", and you will get to see me ruin a lot of expensive denim and write apology letters to angry patrons. Paula is working on the fine details, and we will assist with travel arrangements or accommodation for people travelling to the event.
Bad news - due to schedule conflicts of both people and product, the jeans will more than likely not be in some peoples hands by the 1st of April. However, as many of you already know, the IH shipping is extremely quick, and we will aim to have everyones orders in their hands by then end of that week (April 5th). As this is a 2 year contest, I hope that is not too much of a delay.
Of course, if you can make it to the Chain Stitch Massacre , you can take your freshly
fucked uphemmed jeans with you on the day. I joke, all hemming will be perfect, and the beer will be cold. Hope to see some of you guys there.** Chances are that if you are based in Asia you may receive your MBB's before us in Europe or the USA, this is because your MBB's will be despatched and hemmed by TSS in Singapore…..but no wearing until April 1st

For anyone travelling from London/ Heathrow/ Gatwick to Gosport for the Chain Stitch Massacre, the best routes are:
- fly into Southampton airport, which is approx 30 mins away by taxi (or train to Portsmouth Harbour)
- fly into Gatwick and get train directly from airport to Portsmouth Harbour (takes about 1.5 hrs)
Other options:
- Eurostar to London, then underground/taxi across London, train from Waterloo or Victoria
- fly into London Heathrow, but travel to Portsmouth via coach is long journey - over 3 hours I believe
Accommodation:
Spring Garden Guest House, cheap and cheerful and very close :
http://www.springgardenguesthouse.co.uk/There are some other hotels/B&Bs in Gosport, but they are a taxi ride away and don't look great, so alternatives I would recommend are over the harbour in Portsmouth (approx 20-30 mins away from IHUK on foot via Gosport ferry):
Holiday Inn Express Gunwharf Quays

I was hoping it wouldn't be the Easter Weekend. With my job I always have to work that weekend at the various Boat Shows taking place over the Holiday. I'll do my best to be at the G.C.S.M, it would be great to meet up with everyone again, but chances are pretty slim.
