@trail and arrow - I have the same fit in shirts and wear XL in the N1 jackets, the L would be trimmer but a bit too snug for me with a UHF underneath.

I have an XL and it is fine if I layer heavily under it (which I do in midwinter) if I was ever to cop another I’d go L.

Couple of quick pix before I head out:

Similar to Reuben, if I pick up another colour I would go L with a view to only wearing with 1x layer outfits.

Thanks, @neph93 @IH-GARY, that is really helpful!

I'll go for an L then.

Cheers

Anyone ever done something sacrilegious like cutting the sleeves of their LS shirt to make it SS? I really want a SS hickory stripe shirt :o

I’m sure I’ve seen it on here somewhere but can’t quite remember where. I know someone made a vest out of their IH-2526j once.

I can’t see any practical issue other than the possibility that bodies on ss shirts may generally be cut differently to bodies on ls shirts? Having a taper put in while your at it is always an option anyway.

Typically the arms are cut a bit wider on SS shirts

@cj You could try to measure the sleeves at the point where you would cut them and compare them to IH shortsleeved shirts. if it's a similar opening I think it will work, as I'm pretty sure the Body is similar.

Edit: Giles was faster.
I don't care what people say.. The Max Power way is the right way...

I've done it on an IHSH-21 (blue chambray).

Ahhh I see. Now that you mention it, I do believe my short sleeve shirts are wider around the bicep although that feeling could be accentuated by the folding of fabric at the elbow. I'll do some measuring later to appease my curiosity... I guess I'm not that desperate, but chopping sleeves is a consideration for the future. Knowing myself, I'll probably leave it up to the universe as to whether a short sleeve hickory stripe shirt gets made haha

@JDelage Oh cool, what were the results? Any pictures?

I happened to have 2 of those, so I turned one into a short sleeve shirt.

What’s eBay etiquette on lost/stolen packages? Do I refund just the cost of the item or the item plus shipping? I’m gonna wait another week before filing a claim. I don’t trust USPS at all so it’s fortunate I insured the package.

From an objective point of view: Which one is qualitatively better, Kersey or Corduroy?
