I actually like that the jacket is discrete in showing off Iron Heart branding.  Shirts I like with the Iron Heart lettering above the chest pocket, but jackets are just fine with the red W, or nothing at all.

Yes,  but I was joking on Lee 101 orthodoxy...   ;)

When I think jacket I think of something to put on to of whatever I'm wearing to keep my warm/dry.  Pockets helps a lot in this case, but I understand that Iron Heart is first most a motorcycle brand and there are some aesthetics to keep in mind (can't imagine any Type I or II would look good with pockets). Damn, if you have cold hands just wear gloves, right?

With all due respect, don't we have enough jackets listed here without hand warmers :D also there are many non-motorcyclists here without gloves :D  I love these jackets straight on tees, & when its windy I love these pockets!!! Besides that is what sells fast :D IMO

BTW I am just talking about TypeIII only

I would get an 18 oz Type III, with or without pockets. I always liked pockets for pratcial reasons but see the aesthetic point of not adding them.  A little extra length is ok, but if it becomes as long as this SE Type III, it looses appeal IMO.

Regarding the Riders Jacket: The waist looks pretty slim to me. @ Giles: would you suggest sizing up to XXL for layering and being able to close it or is that possible with your XL?
I don't care what people say.. The Max Power way is the right way...

Distracted again, can't stop checking this ... 18 Oz is too attractive!!! But I need handwarmers :( !!! Its not that I only like jackets with pockets ... its just that I already have too many without handwarmers!!!

The next batch of IH-526L turn up early next week.  I will be making now new jackets in a hurry.  Recently released or soon to come:

IHxVS-T1-DD
IH-101J
IH-526DD
Type II denim (x2)
Type II duck
IH-526J-SBG

That's enough for us to be going on with....

I'm just wondering why the Lefty Trucker, although longer and with pockets, is named a 526? It's a bit confusing, wouldn't it be better for destinction to call it (or its possible other versions) for example 528 (2 inches added  ;)) or 529, so everyone can see from its name, it's another version?

In retrospect yes.    But H and I tend to include 526 in all our own Type III type jackets.....

Is it confidential where the number 526 came from ;)?

My old 70s Type III had 526 stamped on the inner side of the Buttons. Probably a denim geek will know what that means exactly.

Maybe a Harrington style jacket? 21oz super black, sateen, ventile or duck on the outside, blanket lining on the inside.

A Harrington style jacket in the olive sateen of the IHM-08 would be awesome. I love that fabric!

I don't see the point in making the lefty trucker in 18oz denim, but I would like to see that jacket in a lighter weight denim like 15oz for spring/summer.

Wish I was the @Giles living in Los Angeles, :D 15 oz I guess too light for IH at least 16.5 oz, but that's all in dreams, why I asked for 18, because 19 was so stiff and 18 being loomstate gives personal shape to jacket by stretching and adjusting   to individual body shape!!! But can't hold my horses by the time Giles do something, I will be too old to rock n roll :D, Monday gonna be my last shot!!!
