Can't resist, tried G's pair a few months back when I was trying to pin down my Viberg size, and was so impressed with them that I decided these would next on my list.
Oh, and for reference they look ace with the olive green IH-705's

Sizing help from any Smokejumper owners? I'm a 9.5D in US shoe size.

Sizing help from any Smokejumper owners? I'm a 9.5D in US shoe size.
I am a us 9,5 in sportshoes (nike, adidas,…) and a 9 D in all of my vibergs.
-
^I'm US11,5D measured on a brannock device and wear a UK10,5D smokejumper (these http://bit.ly/12Ns3rc)
-
Hmm. Guessing 8.5 for snug, 9 to allow thick socks. Which is a necessity up here….
-
I'm an 11D in most athletic shoes (Nike, New Balance, Mizuno, PF Flyers) and wear a 10D in Viberg, White's and Palladium. Hope that helps some.
However, I highly recommend using Viberg's sizing kit. It's easy and can save you a ton of unhappiness down the line. Seriously, email Viberg and ask for it. You won't regret the slight extra effort.
-
I have requested the sizing kit and made the deposit. Giles is letting me provide the sizing later.
Thanks to everyone for the advice, this will be the first Viberg footwear for me.
-
Sizing kit.? Morgan told me to trace my feet and email it to him. Did the job spot on,! And in the tv show big decision you see brett tracing the host feet.
-
Same here, Morgan asked me to trace my feet and send him the tracings, however in my case that didn't seem to work out as he then sized me as UK11.5EEE, whilst I'm normally a UK10 (Trickers, Jefferey West)
So I went down to Gosport to see G, and tried on his Service boots and Smoke Jumpers, (both UK9.5E), for comparison, and whilst my toe was just touching the end in the Service boots, they seemed to indicate that an 11.5 would be too big.In the end we decided that a UK10E was the size to go for, and I'm hoping that was the right decision, as my Engineers are finished and due to ship shortly, and I've just placed my order for the collab Smoke Jumpers
Just to be clear though, I'm not attributing any blame to Morgan, he's been incredibly helpful and responsive throughout, it just seems that for some people trying on boots is the best option.
-
I also put a measurement on the tracing in case the computer did something and changed the scale. With out me doing the tracing I wouldn't of know I had a narrow foot and would of chosen a last to wide. And you are right morgan is amazing to deal with.
-
Shit why wouldn't a picture of your foot in one of those measuring doohickeys be the trick?
Morgan told me the same thing though. I will do the dimensions like Todd mentioned.
-
Hey, this is both my first IH and my first VB footwear, so forgive the noob question: what does the timing usually look like for these? Looking forward to seeing if the surprising 8.5E sizing works…
