2016 - Spring/Summer Pipeline
« on: May 18, 2015, 02:12:03 am »
First up....

As originally suggested by @riffblaster general USN inspired chambray short sleeve.  We won't get this into production in time for summer 2015 I am afraid, so we're looking at a March 2016 release.  H has found sone really lovely deadstock chambray for this (and a few other things up our sleeves - pun intended).   We will shorten the sleeve length by 1" and the circumference of the sleeve opening by 1" for production...

I LOVE IT.

I don't mind those sleeves at all btw.  They look fairly practical to be active in.

Great shirt! What can ou tell us about the fabric - doesn't look like 10 oz, rather like the TW chambray?
I don't care what people say.. The Max Power way is the right way...

Nope - those sleeves have to be shorter and narrower. Glad you're taking care of that.

True. The sleeves on the 16SS were pretty Long and wide, making your arms look rather skinny.

I'd rather have looser sleeves than too tight, but that's clearly very subjective and based on each individual's body shape - either way, it's a cracking looking shirt and I hope the final version works for all of us

A great looking shirt, length of sleeves seems OK.

Gotta chime in on sleeves here. I agree that many IH short sleeved shirts have disproportionately large sleeves.  I have fairly muscular arms, and feel that the sleeves still look silly loose.  More an issue of width than length.

Yep. Most important thing for me when it comes to a s/s shirt. But I bet it'll be perfect after said intended tweaking...  :)

As I said, it is a deadstock selvedge chambray that H found.  It is def not 10oz, perhaps about 6 or 7oz

And in "Any other news", I was blown away yesterday.

H showed me a new denim he is working on with (perhaps) his favourite house mill.  This utilises a weft made from the same pulp as paper money.  The weft is amazingly strong and very thin, this results in a very dark face and a denim that is really thin for it's weight.....

Look at the colour of the face, virtually no weft showing...

And the thinness of the weft:

Compared with comparative cotton weft...(OK, crap focus, but you get the idea)

Edit.  We know of no one else doing this in Japan
