We asked for quilted orange satin in the sample request.  Whether or not that has been done, we will not know until they arrive here......But I see no reason why they will have ignored our request.....

It fits me  :D :D

Trouble is, I am hardly in the office these days, and I can't imagine the bunfight that will happen when the boys open the carton.....

We will likely make the collar darker in production, that is why the 2 swatches are in the pic.

Shame about the transfer as I really like the contrast. The other two will work beautifully, regardless.

dark brown of the moleskin would be a nice shade.. if only those samples were my size..   :(

What’s the weight of the denim on those?

Are you thinking an IH modified III with longer body/sleeve length or a more “classic” fit?

This would also look pretty amazing in corduroy and/or whipcord...

In a previous life, I made and sold Titanium Fly Fishing reels.  Well, I did not make them myself but had them made by a couple of craftsmen in the Town of Kharkiv in Ukraine.  Kharkiv was pivotal in the USSR's manufacturing of stuff for the space race and military weapons.  So they had/have some extremely talented engineers who are good at working with Titanium.  Come the fall of the wall, many of them were twiddling their thumbs.  I got a couple of them untwiddling their thumbs.  One of the reels we made was priced at USD10,000 - we only made 30  :D :D :D :D :D

Anyway, I had an idea and contacted one of them and asked him to machine me some Titanium N1 buttons.

Full metal jacket pimpage.

Here are the first samples....

Pricing yet to be determined, but don't worry, they'll be reassuringly expensive...

And here are some of the reels (and a titanium bolt from a MiG-31)

If anyone recognises the large reel, it is the first prototype for The Hardy Zane Ti Saltwater Fly Reel....

@goosehd My original post updated....

But here a couple more shots of the Zane...The handle looks like it is made of wood, but it is a special super stable material made for the space station (some of it never made it up there  :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X)

This is possibly my favourite.  It's a one-weight which I match with an Orvis one-weight for tiny little brook trout.  Though I have taken it to the Bahamas and fished for Bonefish with it, I. don't suppose there'd many people who have caught Bones on a one-weight.....My guide pissed himself laughing when he saw it, but by the end of the week was begging for him to leave the outfit with him, which I did and then picked it up next time I went.....

This one's pretty nice too, though I have never even filled it with line...

Did you guys use ceramic or steel bearings?  I guess the ceramic would be better for salt water environments, but I really don’t know.
