@endo I do wish time would slow down or just stand still completely sometimes when I’m looking at my little one and she would stay this age forever. It scared me how she wasn’t a baby for two minutes.
And then she farts directly into my face while following her up the stairs and I remember why we’ve agreed to not have another one. -
1 child household here also, the wife when the boy turned 2 was trying to convince that another 1 would be a good idea, I was 37 when we had Jacob and there was no way on earth another one was going to happen, he turns 8 this year and for the life of me I have no idea where those years have gone

@Brian We were a very similar age when we became fathers then, my wife and I were both 35 when she dropped pregnant. We did mention having another briefly then a couple of years past, we are now 38 and it seems as if we’ve left it too late. No regrets though we do actually have a 3 child household, my wife has too boys in their early teens from her previous relationship

Technology has officially gone too far
My oldest (10) was taking pictures with her tablet of things around the house and using smart search to see what things cost online and discussing her findings with my wife
Eventually she decided to take a picture of me.
Withered Fig listing for the 292 pulls up.....(technically I was wearing 177 but still too close for comfort)
I consider these the first shots fired in the war between humans and robots

It’s password time for all your IH belongings.. my kids are still in that age where they call there black boots ‘wesco’s like daddy’ but shit seems to get worse. And a picture.. ok.. but discussing with the spouse.. ouch you must feel betrayed 🥹

At a different stage here … our daughter turned 19 yesterday. Here in Canada, it’s a big deal … legal drinking age.
Where did the time go! We are so proud of her, and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
-
oh to be 19 again
-
Well one thing about 19 vs. 56 for me … I still wear the same size denim lol
-
@Brandrea now that is something to be proud of! I wish I could say the same for myself…

We had an unexpected law enforcement visitor at our door this afternoon.
When the weather is decent one of the favorite activities of our 4 year olds is to spend as much time as possible sans clothing in our mostly secluded garden area digging in the dirt and doing various other feral activities. The fed ex driver who dropped a package off decided this was worthy of calling the police
Thankfully the officer was a parent and well familiar with what kids do but still had to make a visit since a report was filed

When is it a no go when kids are being kids.. crazy that the guy came at your door..
