Lego (yes the stuff you step on)
-
Hey everyone,
Since most of the stuff that I'm into already has their own topic, I'm quite surprised to see that Lego doesn't have one. Maybe that's because I'm the only one here with this hobby, we'll see
I started doing Lego’s when I was a young kid, about 5-6j old at the time. I quickly got really fond of the Technic sets and could spend hours on end building, tearing down and rebuilding. Usually until I knew the instructions by hart.
Over the last couple of years, I found myself looking for something to occupy my idle hands and ended up revisiting this hobby. I've have since been pursuing quite a few big Lego technic builds with a general interest in some of the other Lego models as well. (Like 10327 Dune ornithopter build from the Icons series)
My kids are also fascinated with em and every time they see me work on a build the want to help out and usually take over the build for a couple of hours.
In a world where toys are almost always plastic throwaways, I find something like a Lego set quite refreshing, a toy that can be built over and over again, played with from one generation to the next and is virtually unbreakable. Also, you wouldn’t believe the prices on some of the vintage sets. Which can make holding on to your favorite set for a couple of years quite the good investment. This is one of my latest builds:
Lego 'racers' 8653 Ferrarri Enzo from 2005
Anyone here also working on something?

I did a search and these results popped up: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/search?term=lego&in=posts&matchWords=all&sortBy=relevance&sortDirection=desc&showAs=posts&page=1
There's a few lego enthusiasts on here as well as many of us who curse stepping on them

Nice!

@goosehd I noticed, but no Lego specific tread yet

I'm from Denmark, so maybe a bit biased towards my love for LEGO I'm currently putting the Razor Crest (75331) together.

Loved Lego as a kid and still build it with my son he has quite the collection even if most is in bits rather than built

Latest build: not Lego but Mega Blocks Cybertruck 3800+ build. Nice model with cool features but the build itself was a bit boring.
