Thrift Store Scores

@Matt said in Thrift Store Scores:
I really don’t understand this thrift store you go to. My thrift store has Real Tree camo tshirts in XXXXL and lots of 1990s work out equipment.
They pop the best bits online now, where you can go into 2006 beast mode and bid on the auctions. Lawd knows it's what I do.
But regular thrift stores here still have great stuff very regularly, though... A matter of going on a weekly base, really... -

I find I have the best luck at sort of mid-tier thrift stores, where someone's done the crazy digging in the clothes-by-the-pound type places and charges a a bit more for the trouble (which I very much value), but doesn't tread into the LA $100+ vintage tee zone. We still have some of those here, but I feel like they're getting rarer.

. I picked up some great scores at a local sale today : the hiking backpack is in impressive shape for its age and the Husqvarna was too good to pass up. The little frog thing was made by the gentleman who was having the sale and it was just too quirky to leave behind.

Cool black Perrier glass.
Cool candle holder. Bright orange.
Mint mustard yellow rocking chair. Seventies (vibe). Heavy as FUCK. Reminds me of seventies Italian sportscars.

Not a thrift store score, but bought at in a newly opened shop that sells vintage stuff...
SABENA was a Belgian airline in the 20th century... Big metal cargo crate... Dirty af and can't wait to clean it...
OCD Indiana Jones out. -

that crate is so cool!

Alright - quick clean later... It fits perfectly under my De Nisco table... Perfect cargo space for games and other small stuff...

The St Johns flea market is in full swing again and the flea market gods were generous. I scored this cute see through bike bell, a sheepskin run (oh so comfortable to stand on as I choose what to wear) and a pair of probably the ugliest crocs. I had to see what all the hype was about and for $1 I said fuck it. They are very comfortable but my wife hid them so I couldn’t wear them (but not before I bedazzled them with a Honduran flag - represent )!!
