RE: WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY (PICS)
Had my first paraglide outing today in Medellin, Colombia. 30 minute ride, very cool, quite soothing experience overall. Took off at about 2500 mts and climbed another 1200 mts, felt a bit of chill up there. I’d definitely do it again at the next opportunity. Of course IH gear would also come along:

Picking a local fruit which goes by the name of guapuru (Plinia cauliflora). Nearly black when ripe. Bit odd as it grows closely attached to main branches, similar to cacao. Tasty stuff. Also makes a wonderful preserve. About the size of a large grape.
Also got a bucketful of apples, and some peaches.

RE: IHG-071-NAV - Slimline Small Shell Cordovan Wallet - Navy
@pechelman when I include the card holder in the wallet (empty card holder) the thickness increases by 3/8”, so a total thickness of 1 3/8”.
Happy to answer any other question you may have. -
RE: IHG-071-NAV - Slimline Small Shell Cordovan Wallet - Navy
@pechelman that was a CRITICAL issue for me as well. Glad you asked about it. I favor thin-nish wallets as I carry mine in my front right pocket. One of the reasons I never considered the other version of it with a coin pocket. So I immediately took out the extra card holder.
The pic below is of the wallet filled with:
some cash bills, 6 plastic cards, 1 plastic ‘tripod’ which equals the thickness of two credit cards, and a small key. It is exactly 1 inch width.
See the pic below and disregard the appearance of less than 1 inch. Due to the pic angle of course. -
RE: IHG-071-NAV - Slimline Small Shell Cordovan Wallet - Navy
I recently got this beauty of a wallet and I’m still in awe of its beauty and robustness. I never imagined I’d be so convinced that a wallet can be worth this price, but I finally took the plunge and so glad I did it. It is replacing another nice wallet made from natural color leather which was very nice for a few years but one of the sides eventually got quite rough and dark, not nice at all.
Anyhow, I’m so happy with my new beauty that I must share a few pics of it. I took pics with natural light with two different angles and each shows a different shade of blue than the official thread pic. Maybe it’ll nudge one more forum-mite into jumping into this new rabbit hole?
My navy one is soooo beautiful, I’m already half-convinced the green one is a rational next purchase….
Got mine from the nice folks at Self Edge. -
RE: GOOD ART HLYWD - A Gallery
@Tobi thanks for the pics! The tray is way more beautiful than I realized initially…the artist has done an amazing job at choosing the piece of wood for it. It is a very ‘irregular’ piece of timber because the growth rings in the wood go in several directions. Not easy to find a piece that will end up with such a beautiful ring pattern on all those different faces. May end up being a task too big for me and my buddy woodworker.
If I give up on finding a suitable piece of wood, I may get back to you again and ask for the name/contact of the artist who made yours.
Fantastic choice of wood tray for your GAH bits!! -
RE: GOOD ART HLYWD - A Gallery
@tobi that is a very nice wood tray, congrats. Whenever you get a minute please take a few more pics which show its full shape details.
ALERT - be forewarned that I may try to have it copied by a local woodworker friend! -
RE: IHSH-358-IND - 5oz Dobby Cloth Work Shirt - Indigo
Thanks for the headsup @mclaincausey . Had never considered a western as a SS option but fellows here manage to sprout doubt in one’s long-held convictions on sartorial No-Nos.
I’ll report back… -

RE: IHSH-358-IND - 5oz Dobby Cloth Work Shirt - Indigo
@SKT I’m keeping an eye on the used 358 sales, if any, waiting for my chance at SS’ing one. Are considering it too?
Excellent to get your confirmation that it’d be a solid choice as a hot & humid weather fabric. -
