I always thought this post by the legendary ringring on Sufu about FC was a good one…

ringring, you have a pair? any notes on the details?yes, i have a pair. details are pretty much per my previous post. i guess much of the appeal, lies in the fit, which is lower rise, 66 style slim fit, and the truly wonderful redcast denim. for those who value history, i know a few denimnerds who have bought them also due to the original mccoy lineage. they also seem to be a rarity.
on the flipside, the donut fly buttons are a bit cheap looking.

do you mind if i ask what sets the fullcounts apart?as the replies above, the fullcounts have curved back pocket openings (as well as the beautiful subtle curve of the inner edge of the patch pocket) and multiple thread sizes, colours and stitch counts (including the beautifully dense stitching done using a fine yarn on the fly front and back pockets - stitching that would grace a fine shirt).
more refinements include the peek-a-boo selvedge on the 5th pocket, the ridged belts loops, although by no means exclusive to fullcount.
it's small details like these that gives the impression that whoever designed these jeans decided to go just a little bit further in every direction.
other notable features of the 1108 are the straight hipped cut and the beautiful denim, which, although heavyweight, is so compact that after wear it feels thin. it takes on a shine, even a shimmer and the fine ring pattern reminds me of the falling rain.
they are one of the few pairs of jeans that i would consider buying multiples of, just in case they stopped production.
Doesn't it just make you want to cop a pair immediately?

FC 1108C :: Momo 701 :: Skull 5010 6x6

Well done!
-
tnx DD!
'found it interesting so i thought i'd share & take comparative side x side pix of how certain Okayama-made denim, no matter what brand or evo route you take them on, wind up with similar-looking hues/fades down the line. i suspect it's the kind of indigo grown & used in the region__ having similar dye properties, ie.
both the momos & FCs have reached a "plateau" @this point… half-life, but not necessarily past prime

Good looking denim!
-
Awesome pictures Brownicon, and featuring two of my favourite jeans - the Mom 0701 and Skull 5010XX.
I don't have any experience with FC, but they look damn nice too. As you say, amazing how all 3 have faded to a similar colour.
-
tnx peeps! FC denim is incredible. i had the pleasure of rocking both their 13.75 & 15.5 ozers. a bit tough to fade, need constant wear for a worthwhile payback__ "late-boomers" like my SDAs

so yeah..I ordered a pair of FC 1108XX
They went from Japan to Cologne and are now in Paris (wtf?!)…Fedex has a funny logistic. I think it's because on the 10th, when I ordered, they estimated the delivery on the 15th...and somehow they want to reach their goal. Would be impossible for them to be faster than expected

so in the end you went for both (Fullcount 1108XX & Vans Vault Era HW LX) i see…good call mate!
oh and o/course you can up some pics in the vans thread!

Good to see you ordered a pair mate , looking foward to fit pics
-
me too, me too.
especially if I can pull off the thighs but we will see. bought a size 34. from the waist on the stretching on Fullcounts I might have get away with a size 33. but to be sure about the thighs, I went for the 34.
will do Rafael!

we will see
after I noticed that I can really pull off the new Denime 66XX in a sizue 34 (they are quite slim) I thought: "why shouldn't a size 34 in the 1108 fit me?" ;D
I bought a size 34. Waistwise I think I could have gone with a 33 as Fullcounts shrink to tag size and are quite stretchy (dunno if my 15.5oz denim is also that stretchy). But I went with the 34 because of my thighs. Just to be sure. I hope they will be here by monday (as Fedex says) -
free shipping to europe with fedex.
although Fedex brought them from Cologne (Germany) to Paris and today they arrived back in Cologne…funny people there -
This was waiting for me today
And this was inside:
Fullcount 1108XX
The patch
The arcs
Quick&dirty pre-soak fit pics

in the waist they look pretty slim for being pre-soak imo…how you gonna soak' em now? wondering if the "normal" way might shrink'em too much!?
-
there won't be any problem. I got jeans that were way tighter to begin with than these and it's 100% Zimbabwe Cotton and Fullcount is known to stretch out much.
They are in a little bucket right now as we speak/write
