Our Cars (dream or actual)
-
HOLY FUCKING COW Simon - that's brilliant!!!!!!!
Hectic: man I back you on that car then… LOVE those old crazy Citroens... The full-op, luxury versions were so far ahead its time, we (I) still don't get 'm!..
-
Are those cowboy boots I see Simon?
Sweet first car!
-
Could be this was the late 80's Showing my age now!

I remember those "western" belts too
-
That SM looks fuckin' awesome Hectic.
I nearly bought a black one once, 'till I found out how much they potentially cost to run.
Nice learner car Simon, I learnt in a Datsun Cherry around Lee on Solent !
By the way Simon, the SM was down near the Alver Bank Hotel.
TT -
Hectic, if you ever go to the Haynes Museum, check out the SM there, its beautiful with a lime green velour interior. Sounds nasty, but is actually sweeeet.
-
That old Vauxhall was great, 3 gears, no seat belts suicide doors and a top speed of 50. We had the best of times in that thing at 6th form.
-
Simon, Did it have a syncro gearbox ?
TT -
Nope, but once moving you only needed 2nd & 3rd so not too hard.
-
my two fav:
amc rebel
plymouth duster (not those rims though)

I dunno Giles, I think I'd prefer the 289. I've read (no actual experience, of course) that the 427s have ugly understeer from that massive engine. Not that I'd give the keys back if someone handed them to me, mind you.
-
Very nice choice Giles,
I've got a dream car for just about every muscle car,
I'm a sucker for the early 70's mustangs.
this also got my attention and has held it for a while,
what's up with no one posting their cars?
this is my toy,

Yeah, but for me it is the sheer chutzpa of even trying to shoehorn a 427 into a little thing like that. It is quintessential Iron Heart mentality…..G
