a fit pic would definitely help.
-
Some fit pics….what would your recommendation be?
-
you dont waste anytime do you gollotti.
the legs dont look really tight at all but the waist needs to stretch slightly if anything.my suggestion would be cutting a piece of timber to wedge in the waist band, as tight as you can get it to button up then do your hot soak leave the timber in while drying.
that way your waist should stay the same while the rest shrinks.does that make sense to you?
-
^ Thanks Jimmy - Makes sense and thanks for your suggestion and time on the matter

21oz. Black Pig after a warm soak:
Lost a full cuff and did the squeeze into them…..unbuttoning is a bitch but getting better
-
nice fit.
-
that looks like a much better fit gollotti.
you mean buttoning is a bitch because when you unbutton you should just do the first one then rip/pull the rest off.
-
^ Feels much better as well….thanks for the tip
Yeah.....I continue to try that button pull move until I realize that it has a zipper
This is my only pair with a zipper so gotta rethink the pull method each time I wear it.
-
Postsoak fit is brilliant!..
-
+1 but maybe less cuff more leg length?
-
^ Agree - Next Monday they will be taking a trip to San Francisco with a few other jeans to get snipped and stitched at Self Edge

you're not wanting a cuff? be careful hemming a new pair as the combs will take a good inch out of your length and it will most likely shrink a little more in your next wash.
-
yup remember to allow the knee break as jimmy says
i'm a cuff fan and i think it suits those denims - just thought you could let them come over the ankle a bit more
-
^ Thank you jimmy and Geo - I will take your recommendations since I am new to unsanforized jeans and cuffing - and I am really liking how the combing in the legs are taking shape on these

CW, These D1946 look very nice! Are the considered a straight leg or do they have a fuller thigh. I like them, where did you get them?
anyone experience these SDA chinos?
oh, how I wish those IH chinos would come soon!
I own a pair of those SDA chinos. They are really nice, definitely the nicest pair of chinos that I've ever owned, though admittedly they are my only pair of high-end chinos so far. They fit on the slim side, I recommend going TTS with them.
Below are fit pics and some Rakuten detail shots of another SDA model, the D1496. These are 23 oz. LHT with a zip fly and some Lee-inspired details. I am wearing them in the same heavyweight denim contest as Aztec (the Black Pig guy).

Thanks for the kind words! I would classify these as a straight leg jean, but not really a slim jean. The fit is actually very similar to the SD-103 and somewhat similar to the 634S, for an IH reference. Several Rakuten stores carry this model, I bought mine from one named More-Net.

SDA XS31 Black Pig at 30 days with single hot soak:
-
nice. those SDA overdyed fade really fast compared to the IH ones
-
I reàlly like those!.. Of course I'm biased cause of their usage of pig imagery… ;D
