I'm your height but 15kg lighter and my L is a reasonably trim fit in chest and shoulders. I'd say XL is the safer bet.

RE: IHJ-103-IND - 12oz Wabash Chore Jacket - Indigo
@themage I just got mine yesterday - I sized down to M from my usual L. It's a good fit, but fairly snug in the chest. I'll wear it exclusively open, so it will work for me, but have a good look at that P2P - it's the outlier measurement with this one, and I think the reason it's been slow to move. I'd say my M is a typical L in every other dimension.
My first chore jacket, and I love it - as Oaktavia says, it wears more like a blazer or sport coat than our usual short denim jackets, so nice for a different look, and you know it'll fade nicely.

RE: IH-6634-BRN - 14oz Heavy Corduroy Straight Cut Pants - Brown
I got these and the beige as the final indulgence prior to a spending freeze - and no buyer's remorse here, simply the nicest corduroy I've handled. I had them in mind as potentially good for work, but the very relaxed fit (on me anyway) and luxe fabric rules that out I think. Instead they're the ultimate weekend loungers, the thinking man's sweatpants. Softening up beautifully, if they're as hard wearing as people say it's really the ultimate trouser fabric. Hopefully one of the Japanese workshops step up with an alternative, a charcoal pair in 666 would be another must have.

Devil ducks & my first UHF. That's it now, I'm done!

RE: The Red W
I'm sure it goes without saying to anyone who has had the most cursory look, but don't just take a seam ripper to the shirt tags. Those stitches are integral to the structure of the shirt rather than exclusive to the tag. Removing those tags is a more delicate operation.
I have to say I don't remove IH branding without a twinge of guilt, and of course it can impact on potential resalability. For me it's partly that spending IH money on a shirt just isn't politic, socially or domestically, in my circles. I believe the gear, and the pleasure and fun of long-term ownership, is worth the coin, but I'm pretty keen to avoid that conversation with others. And I am concious of the irony implicit in the concept of high-end workwear.

RE: IHTL-1213-IND - Waffle Knit Long Sleeved Thermal Henley - Indigo Dyed
Copped, largely on the strength of mclaincausey's evo shot above, and because it's suddenly occurred to me that henleys are cool. I was unable to find any other pics of worn examples, though, of this or the crew neck, which surprised me given the potential of the dyed fabric.
Anyone else considering it, have a good look at the size chart - I think the dyeing must shrink them a bit, so I went for my usual L rather than sizing down as I've done for these thermals before. -
RE: IHJ-120-IND - 12oz Wabash Chore Jacket - Indigo
Like a blazer/sport coat, I'd have thought you'd be more likely to wear it open in any case. Medium looks good, especially length.

RE: IHSH-07-IND - Hickory Stripe Western Shirt - Navy
It seems to fit everybody really well. I'd like to see the non-gusseted hem on more IH shirts, it's a nice clean look.

RE: IH-666-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
I'm generally a 666 man, but went for a pair of these XHS in 634. Love the wide lower leg, but I'm swimming in the top block, big flare at the hips. Might be back to the devil for my skinny ass.

RE: IHM-27-OLV - Sateen M-65 Field Jacket - Olive
Hum, restock notification not much use when they sell in 2 minutes. Don't we usually get an advance heads up in here? I saw one for the lined M65, maybe that was actually for this? Ah well, restock notification submitted, see you in 2024!

RE: IHSH-308-IND - 12oz Herringbone Work Shirt - Indigo
I've had more compliments on this shirt than anything else in my wardrobe. Normies just seem to really like it. Once it breaks in it drapes nicely, makes for a flattering fit.

@Peterldavey I've got a feeling the OD will be stubborn on these, but only time will tell!

RE: The Red W
No worries, just highlighting for any bold home-modders that it's a slightly riskier, trickier job. One I've done many times without incident though - as you say, just got to be careful and patient.
I do understand that the whole thing will have many here scratching their heads

RE: IHSH-336-OD - Ultra Heavy Flannel Crazy Check Western Shirt - Navy Overdyed Black
It's all in the colour of the stitching - the dark blue (basically tonal) stitching of this one gives it a subtle look compared with the others, and that gave it the edge for me, but choose your poison. Fuck knows what they'll look like after 20 washes, but that's part of the fun with these.
Only tricky thing with this particular one is the sizing - the measurements say true to size, all except the shoulder. I went with my usual large, but I'm having doubts.

RE: IHSH-336-OD - Ultra Heavy Flannel Crazy Check Western Shirt - Navy Overdyed Black
Mm, thanks @AdamJ I was hoping to avoid sizing up as the XL looks big in chest and opening, but L might be tight in the shoulders.

RE: IHSH-336-OD - Ultra Heavy Flannel Crazy Check Western Shirt - Navy Overdyed Black
@AdamJ I'm surprised you went for large in this one. Was it a fairly relaxed fit, or does the fabric make these a snugger fit than dims would suggest? I ask because aside from a bit narrower shoulder, the L looks pretty typical large.

RE: The Red W
Having said that, I've always found it cool that the brand suits a wide range of styles, personalities, degrees of taste in blingitude etc etc. And that it draws on the history of 20th century workwear without being slavish or purist about 'heritage'. IH really is a lot of things to a lot of people, and ultimately as Alex says it's Haraki's show. The above post just my 2 cents.

RE: The Red W
It's quite a big change for IH, one that will divide opinion. Personally I remove all visible branding where possible, certainly on my shirts and tops. I like a 'stealth wealth' look, quality that doesn't shout. At the very least I'd advocate for different coloured logos to suit the shirt in question, for a slightly more subtle effect, as seen on some of the shirts upthread.
