IHSB-WJ - Iron Heart x Simmons Bilt Blattwerk Work Jacket

The Environmental award-winning Blattwerk® horsehide leather is produced using olive leaves as a bi-product of the olive harvest, this new tanning agent is not only 100% sustainable but also gently refines the leather giving it a natural warm velvety feel.

The techniques used to produce Blattwerk® horsehide is a mild process and leaves a subtle olive fragrance, authenticating the origins of its biological origins, no use of acid sulphur or salts are required to produce Blattwerk®, it is pure, natural and sustainable and also contributes to the local economy where the olives are grown.

Blattwerk® Horsehide is treated with genuine Beeswax to protect it from dirt and environmental influences.

We have decided to make a classic work jacket out of this leather, with one gun pocket inside.

Very nice and love the story behind the tanning process...
God has blessed you richly, so get down on your knees and thank him. Don’t forget the less fortunate or God will personally kick your ass. I’d love to do it for him, but I can’t be everywhere. Willie Nelson

Damn. How does this compare to the IHJ-35 in terms of fit?

The Blattwerk Leather is great, I had a Sample from SB for my Custom Jacket, very Unique with a great Touch. The Tannery Heller-Leder is very environemntaly concious. I read an Article form the German "Blauer Engel" which is the most important Ecolabel in Germany, where the Owners said that they go that far to refuse an assignment if the Buyer uses solvents in their Production. The Leather is used in Porsche Cars and from the Furniture Manufacturer Hülsta.

For everybody who speaks German: https://www.heller-leder.com/files/heller/news/2013/2013_HELLER-LEDER_nominierung.pdf

yeah, I can see how the sleeves may be a bit short given those measurements. thing is gorgeous though. Loving that rich color!

I've been curious about the blattwerk leather since I saw it on SB's website.

If I wasn't so happy with my IHJ-54, this would definitely peak my interest. Looking forward to seeing how this on evolves with those lucky enough to cop.
