Brussels (BE)

I have only seen the areas between the grand plaza and the EU-parliament area. (Yes, I'm a cog in the government machine.. ).
-
Chocolate, waffels and fries.. with majo. EVERYWHERE
-
lots of small, cool stores with everything from 14th century maps to Iron Heart denim.

Planning to pass through in a month or so. Anything worthy of note that I might not find in the tourist guides (or anything in the standard tourist guides I should avoid)?
I'll be on the watch for shady-looking bald guys with pig fetishes.

Hey Gents,
I will be in Brussels for a few days in early July. Does anyone have some specific must sees, best breweries, bars, etc. that my wife and I should put on the itinerary?
Thanks.
