I might go old school, and try to tame a pair of these… Stretch/wear them in to submission.
Waiting on the restock!

Big thank you to the IH team and Alex in finding me a pair that fits great!
Do I need to soak these things or get straight to wearing??
-
@yinzer So glad you are happy with the fit!
Overall how is it, if its perfect and you are scared any shrinkage from the soak would make them a touch uncomfortable, then you can go ahead and wear them for a while to get the stretch in the denim before the soak. If you are happy to put up with the slightly tighter waistband in the short term then you may as well get it out of the way, and if anything it will help the constructional stitching bed in.
The other big factor is inseam length, if you plan to hem them at some point, it may be a good idea to get rid of that shrinkage, then wear them a while for the stacks to settle before you cut them so you know exactly where you stand length wise.
Hope that helps.

Ok fit is good, have room in the waist and thigh etc.
I'm going to go ahead and soak, just to get it out of the way.
Thanks for the fast reply!

How is the calf area on the 777XHS? I'm cataloging all my fits and the closest good pair that is similar are tight on my calf at 7.5 inches where an 8 inch better suits me.
Trying to figure out how to nab a pair of these before baby number two gets confirmed in the next couple of weeks. Lawd knows the spouse nay-says big denim during new baby season.

The leg is a constant taper from 13" below the crotch to the hem, so you should be able to work out the calf measurement at any point with some simple math…

8.5 by my math. That was actually fun.
