Day 1
Wandered up to Shibuya for a walk around and some lunch at Freshness Burger. This steak house's catchy slogan made us laugh.
Luckily the burgers were not made out of the Spam advertised
Came home to try and get some rest before we head out later on but I got woken up by a Japanese class that may as well have been in my bedroom, so went for a walk down the road to try and find the drink @UnTucked recommended, unsuccessfully, (send me a photo please Anthony!) but managed to get some nice Sapporo to blow out the cobwebs.
Now back to Shibuya for a drink and some yakitori.

You can find them at any Family Mart, Lawson's or 7-11….
They're called chu-hi (chew-hi).
There are so many kinds, it's impossible to send you an all encompassing pic

Some can be a bit sweet, but get the 8% or 9%, and let the party begin!!!

Missing you both - and your talk earlier of eating Freshness burgers and yakitori has made me feel really hungry…

love that sign …

PBJ, Toyo etc are showing this week, that is specifically why we are showing this week. I have no idea why the cool kids decided to miss those shows and in our case put Haraki and co to a load more effort….
I know Toyo is showing Nov 7, 8 and 9… don't know about PBJ though.
Samurai is showing the week of the 13th (I think).
It's all out of sync these days.

There she is, the one with the black balconies- 2 double bedrooms, 1 1/2 bathrooms and a large kitchen/living area at half the price of a room slightly larger than my suitcase in a hotel….
That is indeed crazy, I looked at Hotels in Tokyo for an eventual Japan Trip and tought I accidently typed Monaco or something like that, on the other Hand the AirBnBs are as cheap as it gets, especially compared to London.
Is there anywhere on the Internet or maybe even is this Forum a sort of Map where to stay the best in Tokyo for exploring ?

you should be able to get chu-hi from alcohol vending machines as well. interesting to me that public intoxication is legal in Japan but against the law in the US. tobacco and alcohol vending machines wouldn't last a day here – they'd be vandalized instantly. The cool thing about alcohol vending machines in Japan is that they turn themselves off around midnight to my recollection, but if you're of legal age and have an id you can simply swipe your card and still buy a beer or whatever.

first mover advantage?
Is this referring to my post?
Not sure what you mean.
Yep, the first shows get the buyer's wallets when most full..
