This just arrived. As seen in the photos below, there is a black mark on the inside of the ring. Visually it’s not so concerning but I would like to know if it will cause any structural issues, especially with regard to tarnishing.
-
I wouldn’t think it to be problematic. To me, it looks like left over liver of sulpher (patina agent). Since it’s on the inside of the ring I think tarnish would be a non-issue if worn regularly.
My experience with GoodArt has been that if it’s an issue, it wouldn’t have left the foundry. Their QC is IH good IMO.Btw, beautiful ring. Let’s see some more pics!

Damn, that’s a winner right there. Fits in well with your style and looks completely badass.
Next up for me is a Jack Skull crusher bracelet but the Ramen is after that.

Anybody know why it’s called the ramen ring? It’s on my list. Juuuust need to get divorced first.

I’ll tell you but first you have to explain the “Cream Dream” money clip [emoji23]

Hi @DrPat that is beauty. Do you mind sharing what size you chose? It’s a chunky ring so how comfortable is it to wear given the band thickness and overall length between finger joints? How does it compare fit-wise to your Model 25?
I just got a size 9 baby ramen from Rachel since I wanted the smaller ring but largest size. However it’s too tight for my ring finger and fits very snugly on my pinky which was the other option. Debating sizing up to a 10 large ramen or keeping this one as a pinky ring.

I have a size 9.5 in the Ramen and 9 in the Model 25. I wear the M25 on my left middle finger and the Ramen on my right middle finger. The difference in size between the two rings is as expected according standard ring measurements. I can slide the M25 on my right middle finger without too much difficulty, but I have to twist and pull hard to remove it, and this usually involves a bit of pain. The Raman can be removed easily from my right middle finger but is tight enough not to slip off.
I have small hands and was also concerned about the Ramen being too big. However, the underside of the Raman is the exact same width as the M25 so there is no problem in closing my hand. The width of the top side doesn't matter since your finger doesn't bend in that direction. However, due to it's length, there is some separation between the middle finger and the index and ring fingers. I'm sure it would hurt if someone gave me a crushing handshake, but those seem to have fallen out of fashion these days

Thank you for the detailed response @DrPat ! And thanks for the comparison against the M25 - since I also own that model it helps me understand the fit. My dilemma is that I have several large rings already that take up space on the ring, middle, and index fingers so don't know if I need another big boy in a similar size. But damn it looks good on you!
So do I just keep the Baby Ramen as a pinky ring so it actually gets more use or level up to the full-size Ramen and add it to the rotation…? Decisions, decisions... lol
