@EdH:
@Jeansman The honour is all mine!
I really need to get that crack in the wall filled in and smoothed over…
I didn't notice it and it doesn't necessarily look like a crack.

@EdH:
A couple months late, but I finally got the picture put up:
Pride of place in my study - all my clients will be able to see it in the background behind me.
Brilliant, Ed! What an honour! I like that photo! Thanks
It's hard to find any news words to describe this weekend, since all previous posters have summed it up quite perfectly. However, lets make it short: WHAT A BLAST!
I felt exactly like @ARNCÂ
@ARNC:Today certainly feels weird. I had to check my wardrobe when I got up and the pics on here for confirmation that this weekend actually happened!
@Madame Buttonfly @Giles [/mention] @Alex all IH crew
Thank you very much for everything! This was an experience I will never forget.I took a few photos on Saturday which I'd like to share with all of you. Here is my Google Drive link to it:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1–ZV6VEWOztF7BMrUxgfWNm2uxnTEebh?usp=sharingSorry, if some of the photos are not perfectly sharp. Forgive me, but it was not that easy to enjoy that tasty Fallen Acorn beer all day while maintaining a steady hand and clear sight [emoji28]
PS. If you find photos of you, you'd like to share on IG, please feel free. However, I would appreciate if you just tag me "@fadecyde". I will also share some of them on my channel the next days.
PPS. @Madame Buttonfly you need to tell what that red wine was we had on your terrace? It was lovely!
PPPS. Thanks so much @Jeansman for giving @weftyarn @swiss-jeansfreak and me a lift! I hope I can return the favour someday!
Phenomonal pics @don_pipone . Thank you. It was a pleasure meeting you and @weftyarn and hopefully the journey along the winding cross country roads was tolerable and your flight home was OK. @swiss-jeansfreak and I got to mine just after 16.30 and after a quick garden tour and refreshments set to work curating the denim collection! Eventually I had to leave him to it while I got supper before I collapsed with exhaustion! Thanks for the offer - I always had it in mind to come to the Oktoberfest one day!!!
I'm wondering what kind of things we'll come home to next week, after having the grandparents there with the kids for 10 days. Things like, "we noticed you only had a few bath towels, so we bought you a couple new sets" or "your bed pillows seemed a little old so we bought you new ones" or something.
Already got the call that they couldn't get the wifi to work, so they went and bought a new modem and router…
Can't imagine all the new toys the boys will likely have as well.
@chrisjohnnick I am sure they mean well! So good to have met you and you wearing those bibs as well.
While I’ve (not yet) officially joined the brotherhood,
let me share what is probably my favorite shot of the party.@EdH & @Jeansman having a chat in their bibs. It was awesome meeting you guys!!!
Thanks @weftyarn and sorry for starting to get up too soon! It doesn't look posed, particularly with @EdH 's twisted strap (which hopefully can be edited out). Apologies @EdH for the shop talk.

Im sitting here waiting for the train with Katie trying to think of something profound to say about this weekend and I’ve got absolutely nothing. A full days worth of travel is hard enough but doing it with hearts this heavy is pure misery. There are far too many people who made this trip everything for us to name check so I’ll trust that each of you knows how much love we have for you. We already know we’ll be back. Hopefully sooner than later. Thank you.
I don't want to sound crass or grandoise or anything like that, but this weekend had a profound effect on me…
Seeing so many people who had never met before getting on so well with each other and having such a good time, left me feeling serene, humbled and proud.
I am so privileged to know you all and to be involved with a brand that invokes so much love and passion.
I think we have the ability to make these events ones that people will truly remember for the rest of their lives, and possibly change their outlook on life. To do that is another retirement goal.
I think it had a profound effect on all of us @Giles . Thank you, @Giles , @Madame Buttonfly , @Alex , @Haraki-san and the IH Crew for enabling it to happen . I so enjoyed meeting such an interesting group of people and thanks to the forum and the photos it can remain fresh in our memories for a long time.
@EdH:
@Jeansman I'm just messing around. No way I'm not wearing my (thus far!) favourite flannel!
Hoping to make it down to Gosport in time to catch the end of the gathering at Fallen Acorn. Catch you there (if I can make it)?
Cool! @EdHÂ Leaving home now.
@EdH:
Dammit. Now I have to go change before I jump in the car later…
I’ll be bringing some of Cheltenham’s finest for the beer swap though!
Does that mean, @EdH, that no 2 people can wear dungarees at the same time?
Did someone say they were bringing German beer?
@EdH Does that means you will be wearing your overalls at the Brewery? That would please @Bailey , particularly if his potential holiday is coming to fruition. I am still inclined only to wear mine at the Brunch on Sunday.
If it is of any interest to anybody I expect to be joining the A27 westbound, at Lewes, at about 6.00pm on Friday 9th September assuming I can log off work on time. Hoping to check in at the Travelodge at about 7.30 pm. I will have spare seats in my car.
@EdH:
@Jeansman I'm hoping to get my overalls hemmed on the Saturday and, anticipating that I may have overindulged the night before, plan on wearing them to the brunch on Sunday…
Cool @EdH . Mine are quite snug so if I overindulge I may have trouble doing them up!
@Jeansman I will be there all 3 days, there is a chance I may not make it on the Sunday due to a potential holiday. I reckon whatever you pick to wear, providing it is Iron Heart, it will look killer
Thanks, @Bailey . See you there!
Still thinking about whether or not to wear the Bibs to the Brewery…. @Bailey are you only go to be at the Brewery event and not Sunday Brunch (when I would prefer to be wearing them)?
Loosening up my 666XHSs - walking to the shop with an old phone in each of the rear pockets.
@Jeansman I would rock the 805s all day every day man!
Yeh you get a 5 minute ferry over to Portsmouth where there are plenty of bars, and Old Portsmouth if you prefer a quintessential English pub and a Guinness like me
@Bailey Have you got any pics of you rocking a pair of them?
@Jeansman unfortunately not man, its on my list of purchases, but there is nothing wrong with an overalls day at the brewery! If I had some I'd wear them Friday too!
As you say, @Bailey , there is nothing wrong with an overalls night at the brewery, but I was thinking about afterwards. I also need to think about giving my faded 634 UHRs, nicely marbled 1955 UHRs, and even my 634 and 666 XHSs a go. I will need to loosen up my 666 XHSs to avoid too much of a builder's effect, though. Is anyone else wearing overalls at the Fallen Acorn Brewery and planning on going out afterwards in them?

@Bailey Have you got any pics of you rocking any?
@Jeansman I'll be getting the ferry back in Portsmouth direction on the Friday evening, so if you need a guide I'm sure I can oblige..
it goes back and forth every 15 mins and runs pretty late so you shouldn't get caught out
Thank you, @Ross . I did once go to some pubs in Portsmouth, but I can't remember which, except that it was a long walk from Whale Island where I was staying.
